OGI Codex
The reference for Optimistic General Intelligence, its cognitive surfaces, its embodiments, its learning regimes, its network, and the protocol that holds it together.
This is not marketing. It is the system describing itself.
What this document is
A working specification of a general-purpose, decentrally-owned intelligence. The system is multi-modal, embodied, continually learning, and operated by an open network of validators. No single section of this document is sufficient on its own; the whole forms an interlocking surface.
What this document is not
- An advertisement.
- A roadmap for a single model.
- A description of a finished system.
The system is partial. The document describes what it must become, and the mechanisms by which it becomes that. Sections marked with ◇ describe surfaces under active construction. Sections marked with ◆ describe surfaces specified but not yet active. Everything else is operative.
Reading order
The codex is layered:
- Prologue, what OGI is, what general intelligence means here, the design principles that constrain the rest.
- Cognition, the abstract surfaces: language, vision, multimodal fusion, reasoning, memory, world models.
- Embodiment, how cognition is grounded in bodies: VLA architecture, manipulation, locomotion, multi-embodiment.
- Learning, how the system improves: pretraining, RL & self-play, continual learning, alignment.
- Network, the decentralized substrate: validators, data layer, settlement.
- Protocol, the token, governance, treasury mechanics.
- Roadmap, phases and what unlocks them.
- Appendices, the manifesto, the glossary.
Most readers should not start with the protocol section. The protocol exists to serve the cognition and embodiment surfaces; reading it out of order obscures why it is shaped the way it is.
